Most Americans think of their pets as integral, irreplaceable members of their family. However, the severe lack of access to pet care and resources is an overlooked national crisis that means many families don’t have what they want and need for their pets. We’re sounding the alarm to rally help, because what’s best for pets is to stay happy, healthy and in their loving homes—and because we see the bond between people and their pets as universal, and something to be cherished.

That’s why the Humane Society of the United States works on the ground in underserved communities to provide care and resources at no cost to the pet’s family. The More Than a Pet campaign, supported by corporate partners Smalls, Tractive, Motel 6, and TQL aims to raise awareness and funds to help close the pet equity gap. If we want to protect pets, we must support the people who love them, too. Stand with us today to increase access to affordable veterinary care, pet food and pet-inclusive housing. Pets and their families belong together.
