Lobby Day for Animals 2024 in Boston

Join us in Boston along with fellow advocates from all over the state to speak with your legislators. It's your chance to show lawmakers that animal protection legislation is a priority in Massachusetts.

10:00 - 11:00 Check-in and light plant-based breakfast with coffee

11:00 - 11:45 Introduction with special guest speakers

12:00 - 12:30 Lunch and learn with HSUS State Director, Preyel Patel (plant based lunch provided)

12:30 - 3:00 Meetings with legislators

Other Important Information

  • Last day to register is Monday, April 22, 2024.
  • Each attendee must complete a separate registration.
  • If you plan to register someone after yourself, they MUST have a different email address.
  • There will be two pre-event trainings and advance registration is required. Please RSVP for Thursday, April 25 at 6pm or Sunday, April 28 at 6pm. During this event, we’ll review our humane agenda and prepare you for meetings with legislators. This is not training is NOT required, but is highly recommended.
  • Check-in begins at 10am in the Great Hall on the 2nd floor of the State House. Plan to allow extra time for traffic, parking and State House security.
  • Please bring a reusable mug and/or water bottle to help us cut down on waste.
  • After your meetings, please return to the Great Hall to complete important meeting evaluation forms. Though the event ends around 3pm, you may be done by mid-afternoon depending upon your meeting times.
  • We often get this question! Business attire is appropriate, though that doesn't mean you should purchase a new suit for the event. Dress neatly and professionally, and wear shoes that are comfortable enough for walking.
  • Towel and Pet Food Drive: We're holding a blanket, towel, sheet and pet food drive—please bring these items for donation to local animal shelters.
  • The least expensive parking option is underneath the Boston Common, which requires walking a few blocks up a hill to the State House. Please note, this garage can fill up quickly. You can reserve a spot through Spothero at this garage or one nearby.
  • Driving and public transportation directions to the State House.
