The 170+ cats we rescued from horrifying conditions in Mississippi earlier this month are now safe at our temporary shelter receiving much-needed care. They were found covered in fleas and are being treated for a variety of conditions including respiratory infections and parasites. Many of the cats were dehydrated and five have been rushed to emergency veterinarians for surgery or intensive treatment.
We never know where disasters will strike or when animals may be in need of urgent rescue, but we know we must be ready. Our preparedness, rescue, care and relief efforts are just one part of our critical work for all animals. Along with helping animals in emergency situations, your generous gift makes a difference in the lives of other animals, including those enduring the cruelties of factory farming, laboratory testing, trophy hunting, puppy mills and so much more.
You can help stop all forms of animal cruelty. Please give today.
