Stand with us to end experiments on dogs
Experiments on dogs are more common than most people realize. On average, nearly 60,000 dogs are used in experiments each year in the United States and tens of thousands more are held in laboratory breeding facilities.
At the end of the experiments, the dogs are typically killed.
Many dogs (an average of 630 per year) are not given any kind of pain medication to help relieve their suffering or distress during or after the experiment.
This is not a small problem. Experiments using dogs are happening in 46 states, D.C. and Puerto Rico. The federal government plays a role by funding, requiring and/or carrying out these experiments. For instance, between 2015 and 2019, the National Institutes of Health awarded over $202 million in taxpayer money for experiments using dogs. We need your help to end this.
Please stand with us and call on state and federal governments to end experiments on dogs and invest in science that doesn’t cause animal suffering.
